The East Texas Regional Arts Center in Jasper, TX will open the “2017 Spring Open Exhibition” Saturday, March 25th, 2017 2pm-4pm at the Arts Center on Saturday. The exhibit will feature works by local and regional artists in various styles, subjects, and media. “Open” means leaving the artists as much creative space as possible. The ETAL March “Coffee House” gathering will be held Monday, March 6th, 5:30-7:30 at the East Texas Regional Arts Center, 364 N Austin, Jasper.Bring your music, poetry, books, stories, tall tales, etc. as well as your favorite dish and join the fun. It’s free and open to the public young and old.

The upcoming ETAL “2017 Spring Open Exhibit" is rapidly approaching. Opening reception is Saturday, March 25th, 2-4 pm. “Freedom to roam” is subject matter rule. Be creative!!! Maximum size is 18x24 or square inch equivalent including frame. 2 and 3 dimensional works will be accepted. It will be a judged exhibit with a $200 1st place award, $100 2nd place award, award ribbon 3rd place, and honorable mention ribbon. Works may be brought to the Arts Center in Jasper Wednesday March 22nd or Thursday March 23rd. The Arts Center is open from 10am-4pm Wednesday and Thursday (out of town should call in advance) Works should be ready to hang. Entry fee is $35 for 1, 2, or 3 pieces. The exhibit is open to anyone 18 years or older. ETAL reserves the right to reject any inappropriate subject.
